What started as friendly gift-giving evolved into a widespread holiday stockings project at Wesley Enhanced Living. The project began many years ago when Harry Bodkin, a former Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park resident, became a “Secret Santa” to a few fellow residents. Over the years, the project has grown to providing holiday stockings filled with wrapped gifts to Skilled Nursing and Personal Care residents at all six WEL communities.

The project is now spearheaded by Wesley Enhanced Living Sales Manager and Harry’s granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson. This year, Jennifer has teamed up with a non-profit organization called The Christmas Gala to pool resources.

Work on the project was featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Click here to learn more about the “Stockings for Seniors: In Memory of Harry Bodkin” project.
